Worcester Vs. Georgia
This event took place in 1832. The government wanted to make sure that the citizens of the states were loyal to the them. So, they passed a law declaring that the citizens must swear an oath of loyalty to their state's governor. Many men thought it was unfair that it was unfair that the Cherokee were moved out of their homeland. Many men, led by Samuel Worcester, didn't sign the oath. He and his men were sent to prison, and the case went all the way to the Supreme Court.
