Georgia Climate
Georgia is classified as humid subtropical, and usually has mild winters, besides some crazy snowstorms, and mild autumn and spring. But, the South usually has the hotter weather compared to the North. The average amount of rain ranges from 50 inches in the Southern part of Georgia, and about 75 in the mountains, although, it is slightly different every year.
Summer is usually a very hot time of the year, with all of the tropical air streams coming in. It's usually in the upper 90s and 80s in Atlanta and in the mountains. Sometimes thunderstorms roll in, causing a summer rain.
Winter in Georgia is fairly mild with the high 60° in the South, and 50° in the North/Atlanta. As you can tell, the Georgia winters aren't sever, except a couple unusual snow storms that might pass through...
This affects the development of Georgia because certain crops might not grow well in the Georgia climate. Since agriculture is a big part of Georgia's economy, it is very important to grow the right crops to make Georgia have an abundance of the food the population needs.
